Bonsai Concepts
Seasonal Tree Care
Bonsai Concepts
Bonsai Concepts was created to assist members in the development of bonsai, and provide the best information to grow knowledge and skills with both classroom and hands-on instruction.
Each meeting begins with a classroom session addressing topics appropriate for the month. The instructor and volunteers will then work with you to answer questions specific to your trees and help with techniques to continue the development of your bonsai. Each time you work on your tree, you will take steps to improve its health and create a more satisfying design. Observe how the tree responds after each procedure so that you can use this information to better understand the process of development.
Even if you do not have a tree to work on, you can learn a lot by observing discussions and techniques with other attendees. No signup needed, all members are welcome to come and learn, with or without trees.
*Meetings are typically held on the 3rd Saturday of the month. There are no classes in December or January. Please check the calendar for most recent dates and location changes.
